The club completed a clean sweep of victories over the last week.

 

Our ladies led the way this week with wins away from home in the West Oxfordshire league against the combined Woodstock/Kidlington team and in the County Top Club first round game against Oxford City & County.

 

Top rink for Central in their league match 70-45 success saw Mary Tee, Jane Williams, Sue Waring and Mo Cox take the honours with a 29-17 scoreline, one shot difference better than Jenny Williams, June Bone, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly on 23-12.

Not to be outdone, Gill Hunt, Anne Norton, Helen Young and Caroline Campion made it a full house and maximum points, winning 18-16.

 

Sunday morning's Top Club game produced wins for Pam Shepherd in the singles, Eloise Jones and Helen Young in the pairs and Jenny Wiliams, Bev McNeil and Sue Waring in the triples. Unfortnately, Jill Hart, Jane Williams, June Bone and Mary Tee were unable to make it a full house.

 

At home in the Oxfordshire Bowls League, the men's 'A' team thumped Kidlington 75-44 in a 5-1 points win.

Stewart Boyd, Andy Winter, Andy Wilkin and skip Keith McNeil lead the way, winning 27-6. Lee Young, Alan Hunt, Les Campion and Mike Andrew made their contribution with a 19-12 win, whilst Alan Carter, Luke Gilbert, Graham Morbey and Will Campion held on for a one shot win at 16-15. Ian Gilbert, Bob Joiner, Nick Spencer and Nigel Galletly just mssed out on making it a full house, losing 13-16.
