Mixed Friendly v Kidlington - Sunday 11th July
We had an enjoyable afternoon bowling at Kidlington on Sunday afternoon. Three rinks were made very welcome and it was perfect start (apart from the result) to the evening's footballing event ! We won one rink but lost on shots overall 44-60. Gill Hunt, Les Kelland, Tony Smith & Pam Shepherd 13-25. Jackie Humphreys, Jane Williams, Paul Humphries & Andy Winter 20-13. Pauline smith, Terry Humphreys, Dave Davies & Allan Hunt 11-22.
 
Men's League A v Headington - Thursday 8th July
The Men’s A Team travelled to Oxford playing top of the table Headington A. The game was close throughout and Central came away with a win by 3 shots. Mick Andrew, Ian Whelpton, Nick Spencer and Lee Young lost 14-24. Chick Boyd, Paul Humphris, Andy Wilkin and Keith McNeil won 19-17 while Allan Hunt, Andy Winter, Bob Joiner and Nigel Galletly just missed out by the same margin 18-20. Alan Carter, Les Campion, Luke Gilbert and Will Campion clinched the game with their good win 20-7.
 
Ladies League v Oxford City & County - Wednesday 7th July
Central’s ladies had another successful week on the green winning 10-0 when they travelled to Oxford City and County. Mo Cox, Gill Sharpe and Caroline Campion won 16-9. Eloise Jones, Pat Ray and Helen Young won convincingly 27-10. While Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly won a close game 15-14.
 
Ladies League v Hanborough - Wednesday 23rd June
Central's Ladies League team had another good win 8-2, away at Hanborough last night. Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly won 25-4, Eloise Jones, Pat Ray and Helen Young lost 8-19 and Mo Cox, Gill Sharpe and Caroline Campion won 22-7.
Tonight they will be playing the National Top Club competition against Oxford City & County away at Oxford, the men's A League Team have a bye and the B' League Team are playing away at Bicester.
 
Mixed Friendly v Byfield - Saturday 22nd May
Our friendly against Byfield was mostly played in the dry with ocassional sun breaking through. The green was bowling well despite the heavy rain of the last week and the company was good throughout the afternoon. We won on two rinks Bev McNeil, Pete Warren and Dave Davies 24-13, Graham Tyrell, Glenn Mullard, Andy Winter 29-8 with closer finishes on the other two Eloise Jones, Terry Huphreys, Jim Gow 14-20 and Kay Oliver, Tony Lawford, George Stephenson 12-15. Well played all.

Ladies League v Carterton/Burford - Wednesday 19th May
Central enjoyed another good win in the West Oxfordshire Ladies League at Banbury last night. Eloise Jones, Pat Ray and Helen Young won convincingly 32-5, Mo Cox, Gill Sharpe and Caroline Campion won 24-8 and Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly won 23-11
 
Ladies League v Woodstock/Kidlington - Wednesday 12th May
Central played a combined Woodstock/Kidlington team last night in the ladies league. Luckily it stayed dry and wasn't too cold and we managed an 8-2 win. Eloise Jones, Pat Ray and Helen Young won 17-6. Mo Cox, Gill Sharpe and Caroline Campion's game was close throughout and just missed out by one shot on the last end 14-15. Whilst Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly won 34-3.
 
Mixed Friendly v Stratford-upon-Avon - Sunday 9th May
First Mixed Friendly Away at Stratford-Upon-Avon this afternoon. Amazingly the sun shone (mostly!) but at least we kept dry. Pete Warren, Pat Ray and Paul Humphris nearly won but a great last wood by the opposition turned the tide and by picking up a 3 Central lost by 1 - 16-17. Carole Galletly, Dave Davies and Nigel Galletly fought back well to manage a draw when the opposition skip accidentally knocked in our wood with her last delivery for a final 14-14 scoreline. Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Allan Hunt held off a last few end surge by the opposition to come out 16-15 winners. Jackie Humphreys, Terry Humphreys and Andy Winter pulled away in the second half to win 16-10 and clinch the match for Central. Overall 62-56 win. Great start to the season. But it was a bit cold afterwards - Even Dave put a jumper on!!
 
Ladies League v Hanborough - Wednesday 5th May
The first ladies league match against Hanborough went well, we had a win on all rinks. Gill Hunt, Pam Shepherd and Carole Galletly won 15-11, Eloise Jones, Pat Ray and Helen Young won 20-9 and Mo Cox, Gill Sharpe and Caroline Campion won 24-6. This was a great start as Hanborough are a competitive team, well done everyone! Many thanks to Karen and Graham for providing refreshments during the game and afterwards on the patio.
