We nearly had the perfect week with the girl's again in sparkling form in both the West Oxfordshire League and the County Top Club Trophy.

The girls certainly have produced a glorious run this season, beating Carterton/Burford this week,61-34. This resulted from three good rinks once again, with excellent performances from, Helen,Eloise,Jenny Gill, Pam, Bev, Jill, Anne, Mo, Mel, June and Mary.

The County Top Club found Mo defeated in the singles by one shot, whilst Mary and Pam won the pairs.

In the triples it was a win for Eloise, Myra and Helen followed by a win in the fours for Jill, Bev, Sue and Anne to book a place in the final against Shiplake Village in August.

As Hannibal said in the TV series "I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER", applied to the mens "A" team in the Oxfordshire Bowls League when they produced the right result against basement boys South Oxford "A" winning 87-65 and collecting a valuable 5 points in the process.

Will's rink had a thumping 30-12 win and it was nice to see Keith's rink at last get the rub of the green to help to snatch a one shot win, 15-14. Mick's rink provided another point with their 25-17 victory, whilst Nigel's rink just missed out on a perfect result going under 17-22.

The "B" team's two shot defeat away to Hanbourough proves how close it is in their division behing runaway leaders Charlbury. Jim Pickering's rink won 23-14 and Tom McKenna's rink won by the closest margin 16-15. Ron's four drew 15-15 but unfortunately for Central, Mal's rink lost 13-25, which left the host's two shots in front  on 69-67 and a points result in their favour of 3.5 to Central's 2.5.
