ROLL UPs
Tuesday & Fridays: Arrive by 13:45 for 14:00 Start
What are Roll Ups:
Rollup Bowls (bowls language for a casual game) are at the heart of our club. We have a nucleus of about 50 players who enjoy a friendly social type of bowling on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
Many new bowlers eager to learn the game and get some coaching start with us and depending on how serious they want to get, they then have a pathway to enter more competitive formats of the sport. Here is a chance to enjoy the friendly company of like-minded people that will help and guide you to a proficiency of others around you. Of course, we are all competitive and like to win, but for only as long as the enjoyment of bowling is there.
How does it work:
Tony and Pauline Smith do a fantastic job heading up the team running our twice
weekly Roll-ups. On the day teams are drawn randomly from whoever turns up,
aiming to put three players per team (or triples), but depending on numbers some
rinks might have two teams of two (or pairs).
This is an ideal opportunity for Club members to practice their skills in a relaxed
and informal atmosphere. These occasions also provide the perfect forum for new
or experienced members. There is no formal dress code for these events and casual
clothes are acceptable, however flat footwear must be worn on the greens.
Cost: Members - all fees are included in your annual membership,
Non-members £4.50 per session
